Dave Grohl brought his mom on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert to promote her new book, "From Cradle to Stage: Stories From the Mothers Who Rocked and Raised Rock Stars." While Dave's mom, Virginia, brought some embarrassing things from Dave's childhood.
First, Colbert showed an adorable photo of Dave when he was a child, and then he brought Dave's report card from 6th grade. As Colbert brought it out, Dave's mom simply said, "That was a tough one. That's was a tough year." Colbert then started to read the notes on the report card, "Respects authority: Needs improvement. Is courteous: Needs improvement. Accepts responsibility: Unsatisfactory."
The list continued on with everything being followed by "Needs improvement" or "Unsatisfactory." Dave explained that he wasn't always a bad student, saying, "I have to be honest. I was kicking ass up to 1st grade and it was all downhill from there."
