A father who sold a rookie card of former NFL star Dan Marino 30 years ago to help his family financially got a surprise early Christmas present from his daughter.

In a TikTok video that has since gone viral, Lindsey Moore, who posted the clip on Nov. 22, gifted her dad, Ted Lawver, the same card featuring the iconic Miami Dolphins quarterback.

The video — which has the caption "I got my dad for secret Santa. I’ve been waiting 30 years for this" embedded over it — shows the dad being first presented with Moore’s greeting card, which is then read by a family member.

“This was one of my most vivid childhood memories how I remember it,“ Moore’s message read. “I was maybe 7 or 8 and you left me and Nick to go into a comic book store. Money was tight, so you were selling your most prized possession. In the moment, I felt your sacrifice and it taught me that I would do whatever was necessary to ensure my future family never needed for anything. It was a lesson that stuck with me since that moment,” Moore continued. “It taught me the value of the greater good.

“In that moment, as you got back in the car with extra cash for whatever bills due, groceries needed, my 7-year-old mind was determined to buy it back," she wrote.

Moore, who hails from Nashville, also wrote: "I knew I would work hard to repay you. I will never be able to fully repay that debt. Seven-year-old me would be so elated to see that I finally fulfilled that promise I made to myself. Thank you for everything. I love you, Linny” (Linny is Moore's childhood nickname).

Afterward, Lawver, who lives in Mississippi, picks up a small gift bag and takes a yellow padded envelope out of it. Inside the envelope is the Marino rookie card in sealed packaging. He smiles and then walks over to Moore and the two hug. At the very end of the clip, he appears to be wiping a tear from his eye.
