Daughter of famous rock star joins 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills'

Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave, daughter of music legend John Mellencamp, became the latest addition to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills — and though she may be rock ‘n’ roll royalty, she’s just your average girl next door. “It kind of makes me laugh when everybody’s like, ‘Oh, do you have a favorite song that your dad sings?'” she said, “I mean, let’s keep it in perspective. In the ’80s, like, my 9-year-old friends — we didn’t give a s***. We cared about My Little Pony, Care Bears.”

The married mother of two and self-described “accountability coach” with a fitness program called LA Workout Junkie is possibly the most down-to-earth housewife so far.

“Just because I grew up with a father that was considered ‘famous,’ he didn’t live like that. He didn’t act that way,” she said, describing her childhood on Hilton Head Island in North Carolina. “Growing up, I lived well, but regardless how much money my family had, I knew the value of a dollar — always,” she said.

Though it’s too early to tell where Teddi stands with the other wives, at least one approves. Lisa Vanderpump said, “I would actually like to see Teddi naked. I mean, that sounds bizarre, but from what I see of her, it’s like this tight, fit little thing. I think she looks absolutely fabulous.”

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on Bravo.
