A date to remember: Meow Wolf offers couples opportunity to get hitched on 4/22/24

Apr. 13—Getting hitched?

How about tying the knot on a palindromic date — 4/22/24?

Meow Wolf wants to be the place where couples tie the knot and begin a life in matrimony.

The Santa Fe-based entertainment company saw a successful "Take the Leap" promotion, and now "House of Eternal Return" is offering another opportunity to get married inside the exhibit.

According to Meow Wolf, "Say 'I Do' on 4/22," is Meow Wolf's alternative to a drab courthouse wedding for adventurous spirits who want to exchange vows surrounded by kaleidoscopic portals and otherworldly neon lights.

To participate, couples simply need to purchase a general admission ticket and show up with their love and excitement. Promotion hours are noon-6 p.m. on Monday, April 22.

An ordained Meow Wolf character will be on-site to officiate ceremonies, making each union a truly one-of-a-kind experience.

"Sixteen couples showed up to Meow Wolf to proclaim their love to each other on Leap Day," said Kate Daley, Meow Wolf, director of sales and marketing. "We were thrilled by the response and touched that so many folks wanted to make their union official here at Meow Wolf Santa Fe. So, we found another fun and unforgettable date — 4/22/24 — for couples to be legally married inside the exhibit."

To commemorate the special day, each betrothed couple will receive a Meow Wolf-designed wedding acknowledgement.

Couples are responsible for obtaining a marriage license from a New Mexico county clerk prior to the event.

The marriage license must be recorded with the County Clerk's Office within 90 days from the date of marriage.
