Suddenly, Darren… is singing beside us.

Darren Criss and Evan Rachel Wood are stopping by the famous Little Shop of Horrors for a limited time.

Criss revealed that he and Wood will join the rock musical's blossoming cast next month, and EW confirmed the news Sunday morning.

"Folks, Evan [Rachel Wood] and I, if you haven't heard, will be going into Little Shop of Horrors at the West Side Theatre Off Broadway, and I'm going to be doing that from, I think, late January through the End of March,” Criss said on Sirius XM on Broadway’s A Very Darren Crissmas Hour, per Broadway World. “It'll be short and sweet, but I'm so excited to be announcing that to you if you didn't already know that.”

Criss will play the show's male lead, Seymour, and Wood will play his love interest, Audrey, starting Jan. 30. Little Shop of Horrors revealed on its social media accounts earlier this month that its current Seymour and Audrey, Corbin Bleu and Constance Wu, will hold their final performance on Jan. 28.

Criss and Wood took to Instagram to officially announce the news Sunday morning in a video in which the actors feign realizing they have the same big winter plans — to star in the production — while the musical's title song plays behind them.

After the pair explode with excitement, Wood exclaims, "Did we just become best friends?!"

Criss replies, "I think we did!"

“The casting of this show has become one of the greatest joys of our lives," the show's producers said in a statement. "The fact that in year five, we continue to attract talent like Evan Rachel Wood and Darren Criss is a testament to Howard Ashman’s and Alan Menken’s Little Shop of Horrors being one of the finest achievements in musical theater, and to Michael Mayer’s perfectly and joyously staged production at the Westside Theatre. As two of the most daring, enticing, and dynamic stars of their generation, we cannot wait to see the magic that real-life friends Evan and Darren bring to their roles."

Based on the 1960 black comedy of the same name, Little Shop of Horrors follows the bloody misadventures of a well-meaning florist named Seymour as he attempts to raise a snappy, tough-talking, man-eating plant named Audrey II.

The horror-comedy musical, which debuted Off Broadway in 1982, was later adapted into the Frank Oz–directed 1986 film starring Rick Moranis, Ellen Greene, Steve Martin, Jim Belushi, Christopher Guest, and more.

Little Shop of Horrors will run at New York's Westside Theatre through Jan. 4, 2026.
