Dark Winds has begun production on Season 3, and with that comes a flurry of new castings.

As part of its Upfronts presentation on Wednesday, AMC and AMC+ announced that Jenna Elfman (Dharma & Greg) has been tapped to guest-star on the acclaimed drama as FBI Special Agent Sylvia Washington, while Bruce Greenwood (The Fall of the House of Usher) will play a character named Tom Spenser.

Other Season 3 guest stars include Raoul Max Trujillo (Mayans M.C.) as Budge, Tonantzin Carmelo (La Brea) as Border Patrol Agent Eleanda Garza, Alex Meraz (Animal Kingdom) as Border Patrol Agent Ivan Muños, Terry Serpico (Law & Order: SVU) as Border Patrol Senior Chief Ed Henry, Phil Burke (Rabbit Hole) as Michael Halsey, Christopher Heyerdahl (forever Hell on Wheels) as Dr Reynolds and newcomer Derek Hinkey as Shorty Bowlegs.

Still on track for a (sigh) 2025 premiere date, Season 3 of Dark Winds will pick up six months after the events of Season 2 and follow Joe Leaphorn (played by the great Zahn McClarnon) and Jim Chee (Kiowa Gordon) as they investigate the disappearance of two boys, with only an abandoned bicycle and blood-stained patch of ground left in their wake.

Meanwhile, Bernadette Manuelito (Jessica Matten) attempts to settle into her new life 500 miles from home with the Border Patrol, but stumbles across a conspiracy involving human and drug smuggling with far-reaching implications.

Deanna Allison is back as a series regular for Season 3 as Emma Leaphorn, and A. Martinez (Longmire) will again guest-star as Scarborough Police Department Acting Chief Gordo Sena.
