Danny Tanner Was Not Invited to Mary-Kate Olsen's Wedding

Mary-Kate Olsen did not invite her dad to her wedding.

Well, we’re not sure if her real father, David Olsen, was among the 50 guests who watched her say “I do” to Olivier Sarkozy, so we will assume he was. However, the father we all know — that would be Bob Saget, who played Danny Tanner on Full House — was not there to enjoy the vow exchange… or the bowls and bowls of cigarettes, despite staying in touch with M-K and her twin, Ashley.

“I was not invited, but I’m very happy and I sent a mazel tov text,” Saget said on the Today show on Monday.

The star of Broadway’s Hand to God, 59, added: “I’m very happy. I love her very much. I hope they’re happy.”

Dave Coulier, who played Mary-Kate’s uncle, Joey Gladstone, on the show wasn’t invited either but also offered his congratulations in a statement to Entertainment Tonight.

The bride, 29, has yet to confirm that she is a married woman, but the New York Post’s Page Six reported that it’s a done deal. Little else is known about the affair other than it took place at a private home in NYC on Friday. It was a gorgeous day in the Big Apple — mid-60s — and guests, who were required to turn off their cell phones before the event, enjoyed cocktails in the garden. And party favors reportedly included bowls and bowls of cigarettes.

M-K and her sister Ashley played Saget’s youngest daughter Michelle on the hit series, which ran from 1987 to 1995. Some of adorable Michelle’s trademark lines were, “You got it, dude!” and “You’re in big trouble, mister!” She threw some good shade even back then too.

The twins, who mostly stopped acting to pursue careers in fashion, opted not to participate in the Netflix reboot Fuller House. The show’s executive producer Robert L. Boyett said in May that the show meant a lot to them, but they were focused on their lives as fashionistas.

We guess M-K was focused on wedding planning, too.
