Danny Masterson Urges Fans To Keep Watching ‘The Ranch’ After His Ouster

On Friday, Netflix released Part 6 (Season 3B) of its multi-camera comedy series The Ranch, the first batch of new episodes without original co-lead Danny Masterson who was fired at the end of filming of Part 5 over fallout from multiple previous accusations of sexual assault against him.

Early Saturday, Masterson weighed in on the new episodes, which addressed the fate of his character Rooster who was written off following Masterson’s abrupt firing.

The actor gave the Rooster-less Ranch thumbs-up. “The Rooster may be be MIA but The Ranch is back and it’s incredible,” Masterson wrote in an Instagram post. He praised the sitcom’s writers who “were given the ultimate worst case scenario” and had to quickly change course and rework the series without one of its main characters.

In addition to starring, Masterson was an executive producer on The Ranch, which he had put together with fellow That ’70s Show alum, Ashton Kutcher, The Ranch star and executive producer. Masterson asked his fans to support The Ranch and its cast and crew. “Support comedy. Support Art. Support the Iron River ranch and the Bennett Family.

The Ranch recently was renewed for a fourth season by Netflix.
