Danielle Brooks, Colman Domingo Among First-Time Nominees For 2024 SAG Awards

The Color Purple’s Danielle Brooks and Colman Domingo are among the first-time nominees for the 2024 SAG Awards.

Brooks is up for Outstanding Female Actor in a Supporting Role for her portrayal of Sofia in The Color Purple as the full cast is up for Outstanding Cast in a Motion Picture. Domingo is up for Outstanding Male Actor in a Leading Role for his portrayal of Bayard Rustin in Rustin.

Newly-minted Golden Globe winners, Da’Vine Joy Randolph and Ayo Edebiri, are nominated for Outstanding Female Actor in a Supporting Role and Outstanding Female Actor in a Comedy Series, respectively, for their roles as Mary Lamb in The Holdovers and Sydney Adamu in The Bear.

Jeffrey Wright has earned two nods himself for his role as Thelonious “Monk” Ellison in American Fiction. Meanwhile, Issa Rae, Sterling K. Brown, and Quinta Brunson are all up for multiple awards. David Oyelowo is up for Outstanding Male Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series. Uzo Aduba has also been nominated for Outstanding Female Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series and will be facing off against Ali Wong among others for the win.

The 30th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards will stream live on Netflix for the first time this year on Feb. 24 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
