Daniel Radcliffe has reportedly been cast for a “secret role” which could be Wolverine in Deadpool 3.

According to industry insider Daniel Richtman (Daniel RPK), Daniel Radcliffe has reportedly been cast in Deadpool 3 for a “secret role.” The scooper has been right about his intel in the past, but since it’s not coming from an official source, we need to take his latest scoop with a grain of salt.

Besides Taron Egerton and Tom Hardy, Radcliffe has been amongst the most talked about actors to eventually replace Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. While the veteran is said to stick around until Avengers: Secret Wars, it’s also likely for the MCU to introduce an MCU Earth-616 based Wolverine sooner, rather than later. Whether it happens in Deadpool 3 remains to be seen.

With that said, considering that Deadpool 3 is expected to be a total wildcard in terms of its cameos (remember Brad Pitt from Deadpool 2?), it would be unsurprising to see Radcliffe make an appearance. He has been trending after showing off his rage and jacked physique in the comedy series Miracle Workers. His scene further ignited the rumors of him playing Wolverine in the MCU.

At the time of writing, there’s no confirmation on him appearing in Deadpool 3, or if his aforementioned “secret role” is actually a Wolverine variant. However, it’s worth noting that his 5’5” height and ripped physique make him an almost perfect match for a comic book-accurate Wolverine.

Other roles Daniel Radcliffe could play in Deadpool 3

Since Radcliffe is supposed to have a “secret role” in Deadpool 3, there’s a possibility that it may not be Wolverine. He could just show up as himself for a funny Harry Potter gag or play some other Marvel character to surprise the viewers.

Needless to say, having him for a Wolverine cameo could deliver a very different version of the character. It’ll be interesting to see what turns out from this rumor when Deadpool 3 arrives in 2024.
