Daniel Radcliffe: 'I Would've Been a Good Spider-Man'

If there’s one thing that was pretty much universal, it was the appreciation for Tom Holland’s portrayal of Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War. He was like a burst of sunshine in an already super fun movie. But did you know that another young, famous British actor wanted in on that part?

That person would be Daniel Radcliffe. The star of the Harry Potter movies told Metro.co.uk that he would’ve enjoyed being the webhead, saying, “I would’ve been a good Spider-Man, but the boat has sailed on that and I’m very happy to watch Tom Holland do it. He’s fantastic.”

Although Radcliffe might not be playing Spider-Man, he has cosplayed him. In 2014, he snuck around the San Diego Comic-Con in tights. He did mention that he’d be interested in other parts should Marvel or, I guess, DC make them available. He told Metro: “I’m not sure if I’d sign up for something that was another seven or eight films or 10 years, but a shorter franchise, yeah.”
