Daniel Meron Trio to debut compositions from upcoming release, 'Pendulum' on May 2

SOUTH BEND — The Daniel Meron Trio performs at 7:30 p.m. May 2 at Merrimans’ Playhouse, 401 E. Colfax Ave., Suite 135.

A New York City-based pianist-composer, Meron has released four albums, and performed at the Jacksonville JazzFestival, Costa Rica Jazz Festival and toured the United States, Canada, Europe and Israel.

For their spring tour, the trio will debut compositions from their upcoming release, “Pendulum.”

“Meron’s songs are defined by a melodic, lyrical, style that is immediately engaging … his piano sound is crystal clear, precise and beautiful,” All About Jazz has written about him.

The trio also includes Pablo Menares on bass and Jimmy Macbride on drums.
