Dani and Jean Luc's Relationship on 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' Just Took a Sudden Turn
When it comes to Bravo’s Below Deck, the tight living quarters, nights off, and alcohol-fueled hookups are a given, and Season 2 of Sailing Yacht is certainly no exception. While Gary, Alli, and Sydney’s love triangle has since fizzled, it appears as if Jean-Luc and Dani are now setting sail on their new romance (or should we say, boatmance?).
The second stew and deckhand have only gotten closer over the course of their summer aboard the Parsifal III, and while the height difference may have been a difficult hurdle to overcome, they still managed to anchor down some much-needed alone time. Following their summer in Croatia, Dani has since revealed that she is expecting her first child, making both her and Jean-Luc’s post-show status a hot topic. So, where exactly do the two stand today when it comes to their budding relationship? Let’s dive in!
Are Jean-Luc and Dani dating?
From locking lips on the staircase to their non-stop flirting, fans are hoping that Jean-Luc and Dani Soares will go on to beat Below Deck odds. While the duo has yet to make anything official on the series, it appears as if their relationship will continue to unfold as the season progresses.
Jean-Luc, who has yet to ever find himself in a serious relationship, opened up about his feelings toward Dani in a recent episode. "You can definitely tell that there’s something there, the sparkle in her eye or the smile on me from ear to ear,” he said.
The 25-year-old went on to say that the duo had found an escape in one another and without giving away too much, revealed that fans will definitely be getting a closer look into how things turn out.
Although fans are excited to see how their romance blossoms on-screen, it doesn’t appear as if the two are doing all that great today. Not only have they unfollowed one another on social media, but neither Dani nor Jean-Luc tag each other in group photos, despite tagging their fellow co-stars. Ouch!
To add (sea) salt to the wound, it seems as if Jean-Luc dove head first into their relationship, all while Dani was in it just for the fun. When asked about her status with Jean-Luc on Watch What Happens Live!, Soares made it clear that his lack of experience was definitely “strange” and how she was only set on “having a bit of fun.”
While it’s become clear that the two aren’t on the best of terms today, fans are now speculating whether Jean-Luc has anything to do with Dani’s recent announcement regarding her pregnancy.
On April 24, Dani posted a photo of her baby bump on Instagram captioning the shot with, “It’s just you and I little baby.” Below Deck viewers began to instantly investigate who the father might be, however, Soares has made it clear that it isn’t “anybody’s business.”
Considering her ties to Jean-Luc, fans have jumped to the conclusion that the deckhand might, in fact, be the father. While neither of the two have commented on the rumors, fellow Sailing Yacht charter guest, Barrie Drewitt-Barlow spilled the beans during a May 2 Instagram Live, claiming that Jean-Luc was “too busy getting the other one [Dani] pregnant.”
