Dane Cook, Steve-O, Kim Fields & other comedians ready to make Delaware giggle

If you're thirsty for something to laugh about, there's a new prescription for good times with your name on it.

There are seven can't-miss comedy shows coming to the First State that aim to turn you into a crying emoji, including tours from Dane Cook, Steve-O, and a special and free comedy night with "Living Single" star Kim Fields and a host of other famous comics under the same room.

Here's a preview of what the doctor ordered for Delawareans.

Steve Hofstetter, The Queen

Over 750,000 followers on YouTube adore comedian Steve Hofstetter. Across all his social platforms, he's generated more than 2.5 million fans. 

Hofstetter is one of the original columnists for CollegeHumor.com, a website that spotlighted Wilmington actress Aubrey Plaza, back in the day.  

The stand-up comedian also was a columnist for Sports Illustrated and was nominated for a Nobel Prize, per Hofstetter's bio.

Steve-O, The Grand

Don't get the names confused, this is "Jackass" legend Steve-O. His new comedy tour is for ages 18 or older, and it's so explicit that the flyer says the event is "XXX Rated" in red.

Steve-O has pulled some of the craziest stunts over the last 20 years. This includes climbing a tightrope over a bunch of alligators. With "The Bucket List Tour," he's keeping it a little safer with this multimedia show that isn't for the faint of heart.

Preacher Lawson, baby grand

His claim to fame was appearing on NBC's "America's Got Talent."

Since then, Preacher Lawson has had other opportunities such as hosting the Facebook Watch Series "World's Most Amazing Dogs" with George Lopez and Lisa Vanderpump in 2019. His comedy special also premiered on BET+, and he's growing his social presence that now includes 3.4 million TikTok fans.

Pinky Patel, The Grand

The first of two Delaware shows for Pinky Patel is nearly sold out. Patel is no stranger to wearing a crown on stage while tickling the audience pink. She aims to keep that coming on her "New Crown, Who Dhis" tour.

The funny thing about Patel is she's a former PTO mom who transitioned into becoming a force on social media, racking up millions of followers, with 5.3 million fans on TikTok alone.

Dane Cook, Bally's Dover

Comedian Dane Cook was the most popular comic of the mid-2000s and beloved for his observational humor.

It led him to doing the unthinkable during the Myspace era: sell out Madison Square Garden. He also released a pair of platinum-certified comedy albums.

Cook's massive success also was met with criticism from fellow comedians and the media when he did something else some thought was unthinkable: cracked a joke about the 2012 Aurora, Colorado, movie theater mass shooting. (He later apologized on Twitter.)

He launches his "Perfectly Shattered'' tour this fall.

Sal Vulcano, The Grand

If you're a fan of tru-TV's "Impractical Jokers," then you're already familiar with creator and star Sal Vulcano. The State Island native has been featured on TBS' "The Misery Index" and he's sold out arenas, too.

Next, he's setting his sights on touring to the First State to split sides and take names.

Kim Wayans, Kim Fields, Kim Coles & Kym Whitley, Wilmington Public Library

Wilmington Public Library is hosting "Living Single" star Kim Fields in a free event with other famous comedians. There are no reservations, and it's first come, first served.

Putting a twist on the "Original Kings of Comedy," Fields will present the "Kims of Comedy." 

In addition to Fields, the lineup features Kym Whitley ("Next Friday," "Black Dynamite"), Kim Wayans ("In Living Color") and Kim Coles ("Living Single").

Fields is best known for starring in the classic '90s sitcom "Living Single," a show featuring six black singles living in New York. It came out a year before "Friends" and is basically the Black version of that show.  

Although the "Kims of Comedy" isn't an official "Living Single" reunion, the event will delight fans because two of the stars will be in the building together.
