'Dancing With the Stars' wardrobe malfunction doesn't slow down Vanessa Lachey

On Dancing With the Stars, Vanessa Lachey had a wardrobe malfunction when she accidentally quick-stepped out of her skirt.

Lachey was performing a “glitz and glamour” quickstep with her partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, when her skirt got caught tangled up in the dancers’ legs. The skirt seemed to fall effortlessly onto the stage, where it was quickly snatched up by a stagehand.

It appears as though the skirt was always destined to come off, just not at that moment. Lachey later danced with other dancers whose skirts match the design of her remaining tassels.

Immediately following the performance Lachey said, “Oops … I swear, that was not planned to lose my skirt right in front of the judges.”

Despite losing the skirt she won over the judges. She even reminded Carrie Ann Inaba of a former contestant from way back. Inaba said, “It took me back to Season 1, when Kelly Monaco had a wardrobe malfunction, and it sent her over the top. You just let yourself go, and it was a fantastic performance.”

Lachey received four 9s from the judges for a combined score of 36.
