Dancing With the Stars Recap: Did the Right Couple Go Home on Motown Night?

It’s a little too early in Dancing With the Stars‘ current season for the “10” paddles to make an appearance… but man, wouldn’t it have been delightful for someone to earn a 10 out of 10 on Oct. 10?

A couple of contestants did get close with their Motown Night scores, as Jason Mraz and Ariana Madix snagged the first nines of the season with their respective jive and quickstep. Meanwhile, even some of the lowest-scoring performers had the illusion of improvement, thanks to guest judge Michael Strahan’s presence at the dais, which bumped up the potential maximum points to 40.

For one unlucky couple, though, Motown Night wasn’t quite so easy like Sunday morning. Keep scrolling to see which pair got eliminated in Week 3, then drop a comment with your thoughts on the episode!

DANCE STYLE: Foxtrot (to “Master Blaster (Jammin’)” by Stevie Wonder)

JUDGES’ SCORE: 20 out of 40

Yeah, the unfortunate writing was on the wall with this one. Tyson and Jenna earned the lowest score of the evening, and though Tyson always seemed game to listen to critiques and work on his technique, he doesn’t seem to have connected with the home audience.
