'Dancing with the Stars' pros and their families celebrate Thanksgiving together

The Dancing with the Stars crew is doing a little less dancing and a little more eating this holiday season.

Several members of the popular ABC competition show had a get together on Thursday to celebrate Thanksgiving — complete with a ham meal with mashed potatoes.

Dancing with the Stars professional dancer Emma Slater shared a series of photos of the cast making funny faces and smiling at the camera. The list of attendants included the show’s host Alfonso Ribeiro and his wife Angela Unkrich, as well as current and former dancing pros Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Peta Murgatroyd, Val Chmerkovskiy, Jenna Johnson, Sasha Farber, Alan Bersten, Brandon Armstrong, Koko Iwasaki and Britt Stewart. Stewart’s boyfriend, former DWTS partner and CODA actor Daniel Durant also attended the event.

The Dancing with the Stars pros were joined by their families, who surrounded them in the photos. The first shot showed the cast and crew all making funny faces, with Farber and Murgatroyd sticking their tongue out and Iwasaki holding up a peace sign. Ribeiro made a growling face while Maksim made a zombie face.

Durant and Stewart were in sync as they both made blowfish faces while Johnson sweetly kissed her husband Val on the cheek as he smiled. Johnson held the couple’s 10-month-old son Rome in her lap, who appeared to have a confused look on his face as he turned toward his parents.

In a second shot, everyone smiled at the camera normally, with Durant and Stewart throwing up an “I love you” sign with their hands in sign language. The group took the picture at the edge of a large white tent with a chandelier hanging on the top and behind a black light post.

In the final photo, Slater shared a glimpse at their Thanksgiving meal, which included some ham with stuffing and cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes and some beans with gravy.

She also shared some behind-the-scenes videos on her Instagram Story of the event as she shouted out, “Dancing with the Stars Thanksgiving!” She showed a shot of everyone “sampling” some ham. “Wait, is this my ham?” Slater could be heard asking.

In another shot, she could be seen teasing Armstrong and telling him “Stop eating the food,” as he grabbed some cheese off a charcuterie board. She also shared a glimpse at their “turkey” which was a watermelon decorated with fruit kebabs in the shape of turkey wings.

During the dinner, she shared an adorable shot of Val playing with his son in his lap while sitting on the table. He held on to baby Romeo’s hands as he waved their arms around in a dance before securing his arms around the toddler’s waist and jumping him up and down on his lap.
