Former DWTS pro Lindsay Arnold and her husband, Samuel Lightner Cusick, welcomed daughter Sage Jill on Nov. 2, 2020.

In October 2022, she shared in a statement exclusive to PEOPLE that their family of three was expanding.

"Sam and I are thrilled to announce we're pregnant with baby No. 2!" she said.

The news came a month after Arnold revealed she'd be stepping away from DWTS to focus on her family.

"I wanted to let you all know that I have decided not to be a part of Dancing with the Stars this season," she wrote alongside a photo of her, her husband and little Sage.

Arnold continued, "This has been one of the hardest decisions to make but ultimately I have chosen what I feel is best for myself and my family."

On May 3, 2023, the professional dancer officially became a mother two after welcoming her second daughter (pictured here).

Peta Murgatroyd and Maksim Chmerkovskiy welcomed their son Shai Aleksander on Jan. 4, 2017.

"This is, without a doubt, the best thing that has ever happened to us!" the couple said of their firstborn in a statement at the time.

Later that year, the two secretly tied the knot during a small city hall ceremony in New York City on July 8, 2017, before celebrating with friends and family at a larger ceremony on Long Island, New York.

The couple has been open about their journey to expand their family and the challenges they've faced along the way. Murgatroyd shared that she suffered three miscarriages and in August, revealed that the embryo transfer from the first round of in vitro fertilization with Chmerkovskiy was not successful.

But on Jan. 13, PEOPLE exclusively revealed that the couple is expecting. Murgatroyd told PEOPLE that "all natural, it happened."

"I didn't even know I was pregnant for so long until I was really feeling sick," she continued. "I danced through Dancing with the Stars with it. I started feeling weird, started feeling a little bit sick and a little bloated and I didn't want to test for weeks."

The Peta Jane Beauty founder, who's due in June, said she finally tested around the "six or seven-week" mark of conceiving and that it was "the fastest positive I've ever seen in my life."

Three years after getting married, Val Chmerkovskiy and Jenna Johnson announced that they were expecting their first child.

"Everybody tells you, 'When you just relax and you don't put the stress on yourself, it happens for you.' That's exactly what happened," Johnson told PEOPLE exclusively in July 2022. "I think it was exactly when it was meant to be. Our little baby was created with a lot of love. It all seems so magical and meant to be."

Days after announcing the big news, Johnson opened up about her journey to pregnancy and shared that she went through two years of infertility before conceiving.

"It may not happen on your timeline and the journey may rip your heart open at times, but don't give up on yourself and your precious baby! It will happen ✨," Johnson wrote in part on Instagram along with a video.

On Jan. 11, 2023, the new parents announced that their little boy was finally here with a black-and-white photo of their newborn holding on to his mom's thumb as Chmerkovskiy cradled both their hands in his own.

"𝕆𝕦𝕣 𝕨𝕠𝕣𝕝𝕕 𝕚𝕤 𝕗𝕠𝕣𝕖𝕧𝕖𝕣 𝕔𝕙𝕒𝕟𝕘𝕖𝕕 🤍 1.10.2023," the couple captioned the photo shared to both of their Instagram accounts.

"The memories and moments and sometimes unsolicited advice ;) have all been exactly what I needed at the time. Mums just know things and I totally get that now," Burgess added.

The adorable set of photos showcased "how it started" vs. "how it's going" with Zane's growth on full display as he is seen lifting his head in the second photo to look at the camera.

Gleb Savchenko, who came in fourth place with his partner Shangela on the most recent season of the celebrity dance competition, is the father to two daughters.

He shares daughters Olivia, 12, and Zlata, 5, with ex-wife Elena Samodanova.

Amid their divorce proceedings, finalized in October 2021, Savchenko spoke about co-parenting during an episode of the Whine Down with Jana Kramer podcast.

"In my situation, I love Elena. I have huge respect [for] her — of course, she's the mother of my kids," Savchenko told host Jana Kramer. "So it's hard at times because, you know, no one's perfect, but you have to communicate."

He added that during the early days of their split, co-parenting with Samodanova was "really hard to do because you can't really stand each other ... but because [we] have kids, we just decided that we're not going to speak about anything negative in front of the kids."

"We can have an appointment with a lawyer and a mediator, and have a huge massive fight in the morning, but when we're together with [the] kids ... we're cool. We laugh," he explained. "I want to show my girls how dad should treat their mom, which is really important to me. They should know how they should be treated in the future. Everything else, it is what it is."

In the months that followed, the parents of two embarked on an ongoing custody battle.

"Everyone wants [to adopt] the babies but we didn't. My love language is traveling. With a baby, for the first three years, forget any traveling!" van Amstel told PEOPLE in a 2023 interview. "Jonny had never seen an ocean in his life. For a family like ours that loves to travel and has been all over the world, I want my kids to have that experience."

"There are so many kids in foster care that all need a loving home," he added. "And they will change your life for the better."
