‘Dancing with the Stars’ elimination odds: Can Mauricio Umansky survive ‘Latin Night’ after his close call last week?

Leading up to “Premiere Night” on “Dancing with the Stars,” a majority of Gold Derby users predicted that “Brady Bunch” star Barry Williams would be eliminated, with comedian and actor Matt Walsh next in line. We weren’t too far off as Walsh was indeed ousted from the competition. And that was before we’d seen anybody dance yet! Since we’ve now seen what the celebs are capable of, our week two predictions are better informed, but will they be more accurate? Make or update your predictions here in our predictions center before tonight’s show.

Based on the combined predictions of Gold Derby users as of this writing, “Real Housewives” personality and real estate agent Mauricio Umansky is the likeliest to get the boot with leading odds of 15/8. That’s not too surprising since Umansky was in the bottom two with Walsh on “Premiere Night.”

What makes Umansky especially vulnerable is that it wasn’t his dancing that was the problem, per se. Four celebs got lower scores than he did on the judges’ leaderboard. One of them was Walsh, but the other three — Harry Jowsey, Tyson Beckford and Alyson Hannigan — were safe from elimination when viewer votes were factored in. That means Umansky came up short with “DWTS” fans at home. It’s hard to build a fan base if you don’t already have one coming into the competition. So unless Umansky gets a sudden influx of supporters, he’ll have to hope for high enough judges’ scores as a buffer against low voter turnout.

So will he rebound, or is his fate sealed?
