‘Dancing with the Stars’ elimination odds: Barry Williams or Mauricio Umansky may have a most regrettable night

Tonight is the “Dancing with the Stars” theme night most inclined to elicit tears from the contestants and audience alike. “Most Memorable Year” will feature dances inspired by a life-changing year in each celebrity’s life. But whose journey will come to an end at the end of the evening? “DWTS” fans have been placing their bets here in our predictions center for the past week. You can still make or update your own forecasts before tonight’s show.

It looks like it might be bad news for “Brady Bunch” star Barry Williams. As of this writing he gets leading odds of 19/10 of being eliminated from the competition. He was one of the three celebrities in jeopardy last week when the final results were announced along with Lele Pons and Adrian Peterson. That doesn’t necessarily mean Williams was actually in the bottom three, though. Peterson was eliminated, so all we know is that the NFL athlete had the lowest combination of judges’ scores and viewer votes. But it was nevertheless a scare for Williams and Pons, who had been safe all season up to that point.

Maybe it scared his fans enough to motivate them to vote for him this week, though. If Williams supporters turn out in large numbers, that could be a problem for “Real Housewives” reality personality Mauricio Umansky. He’s the next most likely celeb to go home with 5/2 odds. He was in the bottom two on “Premiere Night” — back when the show was revealing the actual bottom two — so his fan base isn’t necessarily the most reliable. But he has been safe from elimination ever since. Might that make his fans complacent enough for him to be eliminated?

Or maybe no one will be eliminated. That’s what Gold Derby contributor Cordell Martin speculated in our recent slugfest. It’ll be an emotional night with heartfelt routines and a tribute to late judge Len Goodman, so producers may not want to end the night on a sour note. It wouldn’t be the first time “DWTS” gave contestants a merciful stay of execution. We’ll find out tonight.
