She was one of CNN's most talked-about guests of the week, but if things had gone her way, Dana Loesch would be starring in scripted comedies right now.

As a spokesperson for the NRA, Loesch fielded questions and criticism from gun control advocates during CNN's televised town hall on Wednesday. But according to TV producer Paul Guyot, she previously had very different dreams for the small screen.

"Dana Loesch came to me 10 years ago pitching a sitcom starring herself: 'A hot young mom who does far right radio show,'" Guyot tweeted. "Said her age and looks would make one side hate her and one side love her so everyone would watch."

She was, he said, "obsessed with the potential fame and money. I turned her down."

Guyot is currently the co-executive producer of "NCIS: New Orleans."
