Damian Priest Agrees To Give Drew McIntyre World Title Shot Once He’s Cleared On WWE RAW

Drew McIntyre wanted CM Punk and wound up getting an eventual world title shot.

Drew McIntyre kicked off the May 13 episode of WWE RAW. He responded to CM Punk after they missed crossing paths the previous week. McIntyre took some shots at Punk and vowed that he would get his hands on him eventually, at which point he would torture him. He then said that his top priority was the World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest.

Reigning champion Damian Priest came to the ring, and McIntyre said that while he deserved all the success, he did not deserve to be the world champion. He stated that the title needed someone to make it, and it needed him. Priest told McIntyre he was delusional, as he noted that his loss at WrestleMania 40 was his fault. He also said that McIntyre had made Punk more important than the title and his wife in his own mind.

Damian Priest ultimately agreed to give Drew McIntyre a title shot once he was cleared to compete, and he vowed to make him eat his words when that day came.

Drew McIntyre has been dealing with an injury in recent weeks. He has confirmed that he fractured his elbow. He was pulled from the King of the Ring tournament due to the injury.
