Dale Earnhardt Jr Posts A Throwback Tribute To His Father On Instagram

Never Forget A Legend

Dale Earnhardt Sr. is considered one of the greatest NASCAR drivers of all time. The legendary man won the Winston Cup Series seven times, winning a total of total of 76 Winston Cup races. He scooped up a number of Daytona 500 trophies and basically defined the sport. Since his passing in 2001, his son Dale Earnhardt Jr. has carried on the family legacy to dominate the sport in his own right.

A Tribute From His Son

Earnhardt Jr. recently posted a picture of his dad's car, the legendary #3, with the caption "None of those guys turned him around in the next corner." While the car looks a little worse for wear in the throwback pic, it's clear that this was the vehicle of a winner.

Fans Loved It

NASCAR fans loved the picture, praising Earnhardt Jr. for keeping his dad's legacy alive.

"You are so right he would of taken care of it right off....he was the best driver ever there will never ever be another like Dale with his famous #3 love and miss you, Dale."

"That's because more people back then had respect for others. Respect for their crew having to work on cars and owner have to spend what little money they had. Most drivers now never see the car other than time to get in it or care what someone else has to fix, no respect or value for a dollar."

"Hasn’t been the same since that fateful day. He was the good ole’ boy that did good and nobody messed with him. I followed you throughout your career also and enjoyed watching you “grow” up on the track."
