Dakota Johnson, Matthias Schoenaerts to star in The Sound of Metal
After sharing the screen in the erotic thriller A Bigger Splash, Dakota Johnson and Belgian actor Matthias Schoenaerts are reuniting for The Sound of Metal. Darius Marder, who co-wrote The Place Beyond the Pines, will make his directorial debut on the drama about a drummer (Schoenaerts) who begins to lose his hearing. Johnson (Fifty Shades of Grey) will play a singer. Shooting is to start in August. [Deadline]
Michael Stuhlbarg, who recently played supporting roles in Steve Jobs and Trumbo, is the latest addition to the cast of Miss Sloane. Jessica Chastain toplines the political drama about a lobbyist pushing for stricter gun-control laws.
