Dakota Johnson’s Latest Career Move Shows Another Similarity to One of Chris Martin’s Exes

The similarities between Dakota Johnson and Gwyneth Paltrow keep going, and with Johnson’s latest career move, the list got even longer. While it’s no secret that Chris Martin has a thing for confident, powerful women, Johnson’s new move shows how much she and Martin’s ex-wife are alike.

Deadline recently reported that the Fifty Shades of Grey star recently signed with the agency Creative Artists Agency (better known as CAA, who will represent her in every area, including when it comes to her production company.

Now, eagle-eyed fans noticed that another one of Martin’s exes is represented by the powerhouse agency. Per the Hollywood Reporter, Paltrow left the United Talent Agency (also known as UTA) for CAA representation back in 2019, specifically after she cited the CAA president Richard Lovett as a mentor for helping her with her brand Goop.

Now, both Johnson and Paltrow are CAA-represented, but that’s only the tip of the iceberg with their similarities. Not only do they both have superstar parents who know the industry like the back of their hands, are Marvel stars, and are both narrators, but they’re all into sexual wellness. While we all know about Paltrow’s brand Goop, some fans may not know that Johnson is co-creative director of the sexual wellness brand Maude!

Before you think this is some sort of competition, it’s the farthest thing. They’re both badass women, and they’re super close IRL. As many fans know, Johnson has been on several holidays with Martin, his kids, and Paltrow, but Paltrow has stated numerous times how much she “adores” Johnson! She previously told Harper’s Bazaar, “I love her. I can see how it would seem weird because it’s sort of unconventional… I adore her.”

For those who don’t know, Martin and Paltrow dated from 2002 to 2003, and were then married from 2003 to 2014. He and Johnson have been together since 2017.
