Daisy Fuentes reminds us how good it feels to be in your 50s

If you remember a time when MTV actually played music videos, then you definitely know Latina VJ Daisy Fuentes. She was a bronzed beauty in the '90s, and from the looks of it she hasn’t aged a day. In 1988, Fuentes first drew attention when she joined MTV Internacional and hosted a Spanish-language show. Five years later, the Cuban-American model joined the English version of MTV and made history as the first Latina VJ. “At the time there wasn't any pressure being the first Latina VJ because I didn't know that that had any real meaning behind it,” she told Forbes. “I was just young and having a great time.” While it’s been years since Fuentes introduced videos on MTV, she says music remains a “huge part of my life" — so much so that she married a musician. Fuentes and '80s sensation Richard Marx tied the knot in 2015. In case you haven’t noticed (we suggest you check out her Instagram now), the couple is all about flaunting their l-o-v-e on social media. Fuentes, who’s an author and fashion designer, launched her line for Kohl’s in 2004, and it has brought in an estimated $1.5 billion in sales. She has since expanded her fashion empire to HSN. “I started with a small sportswear line. What I thought would be something of a ‘hobby’ quickly turned into full-blown business,” Fuentes told People magazine. Her brand also includes eyewear, makeup, and shoes. When she’s not modeling for her Daisy Fuentes Style Instagram page, you can find her on her personal account living every day like it’s a beach day. Fuentes turns 52 this month and looks better than ever! All hail this fit and fab Latina entrepreneur.
