Supporting cast to have joined since our last update include Daniel Fathers (The Witcher: Blood Origin) in the role of the Atlantean king, Avallach; Chick Allan (House Of The Dragon) as Gorlas, and Nicholas Boulton (Shakespeare In Love) as Morcant. Allan is best known as a stuntman on multiple films and TV series. Boulton also appeared in one ep of Game Of Thrones.

Additionally cast in the series are Steve Varnom, Colin Cunningham, David Brooks, Paul Clerkin, Christopher Sciueref, Thor Rosland, Thomas Tidiman, and Travis Mills.

The series is directed by Daily Wire founder Jeremy Boreing, with co-directors Jesse V. Johnson (Boudica) and Ryan Whitaker (Surprised By Oxford), and produced by Bonfire Legend’s Dallas Sonnier,

The seven-episode drama is a reimagining of the myth of King Arthur, set at the end of Roman Britain when pagan tribes warred with Saxon and Pict invaders, and with each other. Sharp will play Merlin, the son of an Atlantean princess and the bard, Taliesen, who pursues his father’s vision of a ‘Kingdom of Summer’ — a Briton unified in peace. To achieve this dream, Merlin will have to overcome ancient evils and navigate both the fall of the Roman occupation and the rise of Christianity in search of a king who can unite the Island of the Mighty.

The production is inspired by Stephen R. Lawhead’s book series, The Pendragon Cycle. Production took place in Hungary and Italy with a planned release on DailyWire+ in 2024.
