CHICAGO — ‘The Daily Show’ is coming to Chicago for the Democratic National Convention this August.

The show will first hit the road for the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee (July 15-18) and then for the Democratic National Convention in Chicago (Aug. 19-22) as part of its “Indecision 2024′ election coverage, Variety.com confirmed.

Jon Stewart’s return to ‘The Daily Show’ felt familiar to those who missed him while he was away

The entertainment outlet reports that the involvement of returning host Jon Stewart has not yet been determined. The 61-year-old appears on Monday episodes in the show’s current format, while the remaining episodes feature rotating correspondents.

Stewart returned to the long-running late-night show in February after retiring from hosting duties in August 2015.

Guests and audience tickets for the shows are not yet available. The series was last in Chicago in October 2017 for a week of episodes with then-host Trevor Noah.

‘The Daily Show’ joins Stephen Colbert, who announced mid-April that he would bring his “Late Show” to downtown Chicago during DNC week.
