Daddy Yankee and Don Omar are letting bygones by bygones.

In separate social media posts, the reggaeton stars shared their appreciation for one another and announced that their years-long feud was over.

“Today we close the book that kept the best chapters of our controversial rivalry,” the "Danza Kuduro" singer, 45, wrote on Instagram, alongside a photo of Yankee, 46, smiling. “Thank you for your words and for listening to mine that came from the heart as well. I wish you the best for you and your family. Thank you for your competitiveness and admirable discipline but even more thank you for what you did for our music.”

“Thank you for collaborating and for competing because I did it with a titan. I keep the good memories, the laughs, the dreams together and the desire for a last round with such a great adversary," he continued. "We will meet again soon because I owe you a hug and thank you in person. In the meantime, long live King Daddy.”

Shortly after Don Omar shared his post, Yankee followed with one of his own.

“William, thank you for giving us both the opportunity to speak to each other from the bottom of our hearts,” the "Gasolina" singer wrote alongside a photo of Don Omar, whose real name is William Omar Landrón Rivera. “Don Omar, you have also done great things for this genre and within the rivalry as you rightly say that divided us, today I feel calm to know that that is behind us, and we are an example that we may have differences but there will always be room for forgiveness. You have also been a great adversary and I will never cease to recognize all that you have also done for our movement.”

Yankee added that he felt "calm and at peace knowing that today we leave behind the controversies between two exponents that put our Puerto Rico flag high."

He concluded, "I hope our last round is against the enemy of souls, fighting together in the army of the Lord! Waiting for you on this side! God bless you and your family and all your faithful followers."

Despite the years-long rivalry, the pair still collaborated on several tracks over the years including “Gata Gangster," “La Noche Está Buena" and “Yo Soy de Aquí." According to Rolling Stone, it remains unclear what caused the rivalry — but it began during reggaeton's rise in the 2000s.

The reconciliation comes after Yankee announced he was retiring and devoting his life to Christianity to a stadium full of fans at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan during the final show of his La Meta tour on his native island.

"My people, this is the most important day of my life. I want to share it ... because living a life of success is not the same as living a life of purpose," he said in Spanish, during a speech he later posted on Instagram.

The “Limbo" singer explained that despite his success in the music industry, he felt a void in his life that he only filled when he began focusing more on his faith.

"This is why tonight I acknowledge that Jesus lives for me — and I will live for him," he said, adding "all of the tools that I have within my power – like music, social media, my platform, the mic, everything that God gave me is now for him."

Meanwhile, Don Omar recently announced his return to the stage with the Back to Reggaetón tour, which is set to kick off in March.
