Mason Smith put his building skills to good use to deliver an unforgettable gift to his little girl.

Smith, who goes by @dadsocial on TikTok, wanted to do something special for his daughter's third birthday. When he asked her what she wanted, he found he was able to give her just that.

"My daughter has been obsessed with Peppa Pig for over a year now," the doting dad tells PEOPLE.

"I’m talking. It’s the only song she wants us to play in the car. It’s the outfits she wants to wear and the shape she wants all her food in," he continues. "So when it came to her birthday, I asked her what she wanted, and she said, 'Peppa Pig's whole house,' I knew what I had to do."

It only took the crafty dad a few hours to plan out the project, which caught the attention of over 18 million people once he shared it on TikTok.

"I looked up a few photos of the house and planned the build and scale around what would be most cost-efficient with minimal waste, and that’s how I came up with the 8-foot-tall Peppa Pig house," he shares.

"I also wanted to build it fully weatherproof so we can keep it outside to play in it for years to come!"

The build itself was also a quick lift for the dad, who says it took him "roughly four hours over the span of two days" to get the job done.

"One of my favorite parts was putting the blue windows and yellow door cloth on because I really thought that made it come to life," he shares.

Of course, that didn't beat seeing his daughter's reaction to the gift, which was topped off with an inflatable Peppa Pig to bring it all together.

"When she first saw it, she jumped and yelled, 'Peppa Pig's huge house!' Then she turned to me and said, 'Look, Dad, it’s Peppa Pig's house at our home!' ”

The proud dad says the birthday girl "spent the rest of the afternoon playing inside and, of course, had to fill it with all her stuffed animals and toys."

For Smith, his builds aren't about impressing TikTok, although he has a great appreciation for the audience he's built there.

"I always tell people that I’ve been doing projects like this long before TikTok was created, and I’ll be doing it long after it’s gone. But I feel so thankful that I get to share my projects with others on this social media platform to hopefully make as many people as possible smile and, ideally, inspire others to do fun stuff with their loved ones," he shares.

In addition to being "appreciative and thankful for everyone who watches and enjoys the videos that I get to create," Smith says he's grateful to be able to make big memories with his little girl.

"Honestly, this is what it’s all about. I want my kids to have as many of these special memories as possible. But it doesn’t always have to be big stuff, sometimes the little things mean the most to them."
