Anderson Cooper's well-documented journey in fatherhood has led to a new TV endeavor: The CNN host is beginning a parenting show for the network's streaming subscription service.

Expected in the next few months, CNN+'s "Parental Guidance With Anderson Cooper" will air weekly, "as Cooper consults experts on how to navigate life as a working father and confront everyday parenting challenges from sleep schedules to screen time," according to a CNN news release.

"Cooper will learn alongside the audience, taking questions to the experts for their advice," the release said. USA TODAY has reached out to representatives for Cooper and CNN for further comment.

That's not all for the "Anderson Cooper 360" host: His digital show, "Anderson Cooper Full Circle," will also join CNN+'s live programming. The twice-weekly program features Cooper answering viewer questions and sharing stories from outside Washington, D.C.

Cooper, 54, announced live on the air in April 2020 that he had welcomed son Wyatt Morgan Cooper via surrogate. Since then, Cooper has said he plans to co-parent Wyatt with his former partner, nightclub owner Benjamin Maisani.

"On Monday, I became a father," Cooper told viewers at the time. "I've never actually said that before, and it still kind of astonishes me. I am a dad. I have a son and I want you to meet him."

Cooper expressed gratitude to his "remarkable surrogate," who "carried Wyatt, and watched over him lovingly, and tenderly, and gave birth to him."

"As a gay kid, I never thought it would be possible to have a child, and I’m grateful for all those who have paved the way," Cooper said. "It is an extraordinary blessing – what she, and all surrogates, give to families who can't have children."

Cooper has shared updates about fatherhood with viewers, including how he reacted with "fury" upon learning his son took his first steps without him, how and why he co-parents with his ex, and how the "unexpected gift of being a father" offered him a newfound appreciation for Father's Day years after the death of his own dad.
