DaBaby Sued Over Alleged Nightclub Assault: Report

The Charlotte rapper’s security team allegedly beat Don Trag, the rapper who was opening for him at the club

Charlotte rapper DaBaby has been sued over an alleged assault of Massachusetts rapper Don Trag, TMZ reports. According to initial reports, DaBaby’s security team beat Don Trag at Massachusetts’ Centro Night Club after he allegedly asked to take a picture with DaBaby. Don Trag, who was the opening artist for DaBaby’s performance that night, was hospitalized.

According to TMZ, Don Trag claims that “DaBaby failed to adequately train his team of bodyguards and set them loose knowing they had violent tendencies.” He is reportedly seeking damages for serious injuries to his head, eye, neck, and spine.

Pitchfork has viewed records from Massachusetts’ Essex County Superior Court, where the lawsuit was filed on June 20. The records indicate that, along with DaBaby, Don Trag has listed labels South Coast Music Group, Interscope Records, and parent company UMG Recordings, Inc. as defendants. In addition, Don Trag has named the Centro’s owner Paul Tarshi as a defendant.
