Da’Vine Joy Randolph’s 2024 SAG Awards Glam Was All About The Winner’s ‘Beautiful Eyes’

Lancôme Global Makeup Artist Sheika Daley breaks down the makeup look she created for the star

Da’Vine Joy Randolph has been taking home one trophy after another this awards season for her breakout role in the film The Holdovers.
And while film critics and movie goers are raving about her performance onscreen, we can’t stop talking about how gorgeous she’s been looking on the red carpet, from her glam fashion choices to her flawless hair and makeup.
The pro behind Randolph’s red carpet makeup looks is Lancôme Global Makeup Artist Sheika Daley, who recently gave the star an “old Hollywood” effect to complement her pearl-colored custom Valdrin Shahiti gown and Dauphin jewelry at the 2024 SAG Awards.
“Da’Vine’s dress was so airy, I wanted to keep that same feel with her makeup, but wanted to also play up her beautiful eyes. Her face has so many beautiful features and tonight her eyes were the star,” Daley shared of the look.

To create it, she lined her eyes with Lancôme Idôle Liner in Glossy Black, then she applied Hypnôse 5-Color Eyeshadow Palette in Bronze Absolu all over the lid. She added Elora Lane 3D “Michelle” Mink Lashes before layering on Hypnose Drama Mascara in Excessive Black on the top and bottom lashes for a voluminous look.
For the lips, she used L'Absolu Rouge Intimatte Soft Matte Lipstick in 210 Unspoken Feelings with a swipe of Juicy Tubes Lip Gloss in 08 Tickled Pink for extra shine.

Daley posted a video of Randolph heading to the ceremony that showed off the star’s look from head to toe.
At the show, the actress won the award for outstanding performance by a female actor in a supporting role. She was up against Emily Blunt for Oppenheimer, Danielle Brooks for The Color Purple, Penélope Cruz for Ferrari and Jodie Foster for Nyad.
As Randolph walked up to the stage, Blunt was shown tearing up for her fellow nominee. Randolph, 37, began by telling the other nominated actresses, "Emily, Danielle, Jodie and Penelope: The fearlessness of your work and grace that you all carry yourselves with is such an inspiration to me. I am beyond humbled, and I am so incredibly grateful to be considered amongst you."
Randolph then thanked those who made The Holdovers come to life, including the Focus Features family, its chairman Peter Kujawski and screenwriter Alexander Payne "for your trust and your collaboration."
"You are truly every actor's dream," she continued before shouting out her Holdovers costars, Paul Giamatti and Dominic Sessa. "To Paul Giamatti and Dominic Sessa, thank you for your generosity and honesty. Grief is a slippery emotion to capture and I thank you for creating an environment where I felt safe enough to explore the depths of [my character] Mary. How lucky are we that we get to do what we do? Truly, in what other profession are people able to live so many lives and touch so many hearts of those who they have never gotten to meet?"
"I wake up every day overwhelmed of gratitude, to be a working actor. To be awarded this by my fellow artists is the greatest honor of my career," Randolph went on. "I also want to take a moment to say that every role that I have ever played, has been crafted thanks to those who are nearest and dearest to me. Some of the most brilliant actors I know whose talents have yet to be properly acknowledged by the world."
To conclude her heartfelt speech, Randolph provided an inspirational message to her fellow actors. "For every actor out there still waiting in the wings for their chance, let me tell you, your life can change in a day," she said. "It is not a question of if, but when. Keep going. Thank you."

On Sunday, the winner did a style 180 when she arrived at the Independent Spirit Awards, where she picked up the award for best supporting performance, in a custom DaSh Gray and Alba trench coat look and sunglasses.
Next up for the star is the Oscars on March 10 where she is nominated for Best Supporting Actress.
She recently shared on an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen that she is on the hunt for extra tickets to the Academy Awards.
"Did you end up getting more tickets to Oscars for your family? What is happening with that?" host Andy Cohen asked her.
"If anyone would like to contribute to giving me an additional ticket that you may not need," the actress told the camera.
She added with a laugh, "I need five tickets."

Randolph made her initial comments about wanting to get a few more plus-ones in an interview with Vanity Fair published earlier this month.

“They’re telling me I may only have one extra ticket, so that’s my mission,” the actress said. “Can you imagine the people in your life that are, like, ‘I want to come!’ And you’re, like, ‘And you should come because you’ve helped me significantly in my life.’"
“If I can get five — I don’t care if my people are back there [on the balcony], I don’t need five people in my row,” Randolph added. “Get Oscar tickets, or buy Oscar tickets, whatever we’ve got to do — I have some family members that would be very upset, so I’ve got to figure that out.”
