Cypress Hill’s B Real opening his own dispensary in Fresno
FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Cyprus Hill’s B Real is bringing his own brand of marijuana dispensary to Fresno, a city he describes as “a very tight-knit place” and “very California.”
Dr. Greenthumb’s dispensary will be hosting its grand opening and ribbon cutting on Saturday, April 6, featuring the Cypress Hill frontman himself. B Real first launched his line of Dr. Greenthumb’s branded products in 2018.
His most recent expansion with his brand has led to the opening of the location, which will be in Fresno’s Tower District on Wishon and Fern Avenues. B Real says the feeling of opening up his new location is a lot like putting out an album.
“You spend all this time working on it and put it out into the world and you don’t know what kind of impact it might have,” B Real said.
Though his Fresno store is not his first dispensary, B Real says there is something special about the new location thanks to the energy of the people of Fresno.
“I’m excited to go up there.”
B Real says the grand opening will feature a meet and greet with him, and he plans to release a new exclusive strain of flower, specific to the Fresno store.
“This particular drop is called Lithium and we love this strain,” he said, “so we thought if we’re going to open up in Fresno let’s make it exclusive to Fresno on the day of the drop.”
According to B Real, the Tower District location was perfect for the tight-knit community-oriented operation he wants Dr.Greenthumb to be known for.
“Some of our dispensaries have done food drives, toy drives, blood drives, and we want to serve the communities that we’re coming into.”
