The CW has announced its new fall schedule, featuring NXT.

Last year, WWE announced a new TV deal for NXT. They revealed that they signed a five-year deal to air NXT on The CW. The agreement starts this October, as part of The CW’s new fall schedule recently announced.

They are not the only wrestling company on the network. Billy Corgan’s NWA signed a streaming deal with The CW, although NWA Powerrrrr is not being shown on broadcast television

Deadline revealed the new fall schedule, which includes a number of new programs on the Network. However, the only new addition on Tuesday nights is WWE NXT, which will broadcast from 8pm-10pm, 52 weeks a year.

Deadline announced the new schedule, writing:

“Launched by WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque, WWE NXT has aired weekly since 2012 and features the brightest young talent in sports entertainment. Nearly 90% of the participants in last year’s WrestleMania were developed under the NXT banner. Led by WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels, NXT is popular with younger audiences, ranking No. 1 in cable primetime on Tuesday nights among Adults 18-49 and 18-34. WWE Superstars such as Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch have come up through NXT.”

Karl Anderson Says NXT Run Was Nothing But Positive

Karl Anderson spoke to Busted Open Radio last month about the pair’s run in NXT earlier this year.

He claimed it was a “total positive” experience, and just getting in the ring still excites the pair.

“Also, getting the call to go to NXT? Zero negatives. if anything, we got the text as, I believe, we were driving to Smackdown that day. We got the group text about going to NXT from one of the writers, and it just excited us. We’ve been doing this for a long time. Over 20 years. So, for us to get in the ring, talk wrestling, talk about promos, talk about storyline, physically get in the ring and do it. It still excites us.”

“It’s the only thing that really gets me going in the world any more, except for watching my kids hit a home run or something. So being able to go to NXT – total positive. We did it for about a month or five weeks. I wouldn’t mind it being more. Any chance we get to be in a pro-wrestling ring, we’re just ready.”
