The CW Moves FBoy Island to Fridays

FBoy Island is saying F-bye to its Monday time slot: The CW is moving Season 3 of the reality dating competition to Fridays at 9/8c, beginning next week, TVLine has learned.

As a result, two episodes of FBoy Island will air next week: one on Monday, Oct. 30 at 9 pm; and one on Friday, Nov. 3 at 9 pm in its new time slot. (On Monday, Nov. 6, The CW will be airing repeats of Penn & Teller: Fool Us and FBoy Island, but their Monday night plan beyond that is unclear at this time.)

FBoy Island, which aired for two seasons on Max before moving to The CW, sees three women choosing from a bevy of men that are secretly either “Nice Guys” or “FBoys,” with both love and money on the line. Season 3 saw the addition of former Bachelorette star Katie Thurston as one of the three ladies.

FBoy Island‘s double-episode Season 3 premiere on Oct. 16 averaged 164,000 total viewers (and a 0.0 demo rating); Episode 3 this Monday saw a slight gain, with 181K viewers. But that’s still a far cry from the 270,000 viewers that The CW’s acquired comedy line-up (of Son of a Critch, Run the Burbs and Children Ruin Everything) had been averaging on Mondays. Plus, Season 2 reruns of FBoy Island did nearly just as “well,” averaging 157K viewers on Thursday nights this past August and September on The CW.
