The CW Moves ‘Black Lightning’ Season 3 Premiere Up by 2 Weeks

The CW has moved up the return of “Black Lightning” by two weeks. Now starting on Monday, Oct. 7 at 9/8c, the “Black Lightning” Season 3 premiere will immediately follow the “All American” Season 2 premiere, which the network feels is a better pairing. The move takes away one of two planned encores for the “Batwoman” series premiere and eliminates an encore of the “Nancy Drew” series premiere. Now that The CW has its own in-season streaming rights, those encores are seen as less vital for catch-up viewing. Below is The CW’s revised fall premiere dates schedule, as revealed at the broadcast channel’s Television Critics Association (TCA) press tour day.
