Several Christmas tree farms and nurseries open for the season the day after Thanksgiving. For the ultimate decoration, you have a few options: artificial tree, pre-cut or cut-your-own. You can always go to your local hardware store or Christmas tree shop to buy a pre-cut tree, but there's something extra special about picking, cutting and hauling away that perfect tree.

Berninger Christmas Trees and Wreaths: Turtlecreek Township, Ohio

Open Nov. 24-26 and Dec. 1-3, weather permitting. Hours are 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Dogs are welcome. Cut-your-own trees are $52. Bringing your own handsaw is encouraged.
