More people are deciding not to have children. According to a 2021 survey from Pew Research Center, about 44% of people ages 18 to 49 say it’s not too likely or not at all likely that they’ll have children, and 74% of parents say they are not likely to add another child to their lives. If the birth rate declines, will that have a positive or negative impact on society?
