The Cure Releases “Director’s Cut” of Disintegration 30th Anniversary Concert: Watch

The Cure have shared a new “Director’s Cut” of the 30th anniversary performance of their 1989 album Disintegration at the Sydney Opera House in Sydney, Australia. Check out the videos for their performances of “Plainsong,” “Pictures of You,” and “Disintegration” below.

The new footage was recorded during the live stream of their fifth and final Vivid LIVE performance on May 30 by British filmmaker Nick Wickham. While the band has only released three songs from the performance, Cure frontman Robert Smith said in a statement that the release of the rest of the concert footage “can’t be too far away.”

In October, the Cure released 40 LIVE - CURÆTION-25 + ANNIVERSARY, a new box set featuring two concert films recorded as the band celebrated their 40th anniversary as a group in 2018.
