'Curb Your Enthusiasm' Returns in January With Season 10

The HBO favorite will return for Season 10 in January

While not much information has been announced for HBO's latest season of Curb Your Enthusiasm (is it ever?), fans can thank Jeff Garlin for sharing some good news. Garlin, who plays Jeff on the long-running series, took to Instagram to post the following message: "Curb comes back in January. Until then my @netflixisajoke comedy special starts streaming on November 12 #ihopethatyoudigit" Accompanying the post is a picture of Garlin with Curb's creator and star, Larry David.

Curb Your Enthusiasm, which first premiered in 2000, has maintained a unique airing schedule. After the eighth season wrapped its run in 2012, the show went off the air for five years. Season 9 did not air until 2017. With Season 10 not slated to premiere until January 2020, we shudder to think when Season 11 might come out if we're so lucky to get another season.

For those unfamiliar with the show, "Larry David stars as… Larry David, living the good life out in Los Angeles and stumbling through one faux-pas after another."

He's joined by a hilarious cast which includes Cheryl Hines, Jeff Garlin, Susie Essman and Richard Lewis. Bob Einstein, who played Marty Funkhouser in the series, passed away following a battle with cancer in January of this year. He did not have the chance to reprise his role for Season 10.

The only other confirmed guest is Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy. Variety broke the news in May though "the exact nature of Tweedy's role in Season 10 of the HBO comedy is being kept under wraps." Jeff Garlin and Jeff Tweedy are real-life friends and have been for quite some time. You can listen to a podcast featuring the two of them that were released back in 2013.

Unsurprisingly, the show mostly lacks in the way of a social media presence. There is a verified Instagram account, but it has not been updated in over a week. In fact, HBO has yet to confirm Season 10's release date.

In an article released today by The Daily Beast Jeff Garlin specifies the release date as Sunday, January 19 and that it's his favorite season. "I know there are other seasons that people will like as much, if not more, but for me, the premise of [this] season is my favorite one we've ever done.

Fans have just about two months to binge the previous nine seasons before season ten's release. The series can be found on HBO.com or on their streaming app, HBOGO.
