‘Cupcake Wars’ Turns Sour With Sweet Trash Talk
The Food Network’s Cupcake Wars turned into a war of words when celebrities spent as much time talking trash as they did baking cupcakes. Glee star Heather Morris got it started in the very beginning when she doubted The Biggest Loser trainer Bob Harper and Shark Tank investor Lori Greiner had what it took to win. Heather felt pretty good about her chances against the other two celebs, saying, “I got this in the bag.” But Heather probably regrets saying that, because Bob and Lori were the two who made it to the finals.
Throughout the episode, Bob and Lori talked all sorts of trash toward each other. Bob told Lori he didn’t like the taste of her cupcakes and then took a page out of the shark’s playbook and said, “So for that reason, I’m out,” which is a common phrase said on Shark Tank. But the queen of QVC dished it out just as much as Bob, saying this about his cupcakes, “I can tell when something is a hero or a zero. I think yours are gonna be nowhere near-o.”
In the end, even though Bob is on The Biggest Loser, he was the biggest winner of the show, and Lori was a gracious loser, saying, “It was a well-deserved win by Bob. And if you’re gonna lose, no better person to lose to.”
Cupcake Wars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on the Food Network.
