‘CSI’ Goes Worldwide For Shot At The Guinness Book Of Records

Call this project CSI: Earth. CBS said today it will attempt on March 4 to break the Guinness World Record for Largest Ever TV Drama Simulcast. It plans a worldwide airing of the CSI episode “Kitty,” which premiered in April 2014 as the planted spinoff for CSI: Cyber. The episode will air at 4 PM Pacific time in more than 150 countries and will be streamed in the U.S. on CBS.com from 4 PM to midnight PT. The current record holder is the special 50th anniversary episode of Doctor Who, which was broadcast in 98 countries across six continents in November 2013.

CSI: Cyber, starring newly minted Oscar winner Patricia Arquette, also premieres March 4 — which CBS has declared World CSI Day — at 10 PM in the U.S.
