Cruel Intentions Pilot Casts UnREAL Vixen as Kathryn's Chief of Staff

UnREAL bachelorette Nathalie Kelley just signed up for one of the hardest gigs known to man: Kathryn Merteuil’s right-hand woman.

Kelley, who played Everlasting hopeful Grace on the Lifetime series, has joined the cast of NBC’s Cruel Intentions pilot based on the 1999 film, our sister site Variety reports. She’ll play Carmen, live-in chief of staff for Sarah Michelle Gellar’s Kathryn and her husband, Pascal. Carmen’s brother resides at the family’s mansion, as well.

Picking up more than 15 years after the end of the movie, the project follows the cunning Kathryn as she vies for control of Valmont International as well as the soul of Bash Casey (played by American Crime‘s Taylor John Smith), the son of the late Sebastian Valmont and Annette Hargrove. Upon discovering his late father’s legacy in a hidden journal, Bash is introduced to a world of sex, money, power and corruption he never could have imagined.

The actress also snagged the female lead role in Fox’s Urban Cowboy pilot, which the network ultimately decided not to order to series. Her other credits include Body of Proof and the movie The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift.
