Ever since Season 5 arrived, The Crown Season 6 release date has been highly anticipated by ardent fans of the series. The infamous drama focuses on the trials and tribulations of the British Royal Family, revealing how Queen Elizabeth succeeded King George VI to the throne after his demise. The seasons following that dug deeper into the history of the Royal Family, and now all eyes are set on Season 6. But when is it coming out?

The Crown Season 6’s release date could arrive either in November or December 2023, based on past release patterns.

Season 5 and every past season of The Crown, besides the second one, adopted November as its release month. Meanwhile, Season 2 got an early December release date. Now, with Netflix confirming that Season 6 is set to arrive in 2023, it will likely take the November 2023 release window as usual. But there’s also a small chance of getting a December release, as Netflix might be spacing out all its content due to the current Writers’ and Actors’ strikes.

With the release update, Netflix teased the storyline that Season 6 will follow. We will be witnessing a royal wedding in the upcoming season. But don’t be confused, as the series won’t cover Prince Harry or Prince William’s royal wedding. Instead, the supposedly final season would recreate the events of Prince Charles’s wedding to Camilla Parker-Bowles, which took place at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle in 2005.

In it, we expect to see Imelda Staunton as Queen Elizabeth II returning alongside Jonathan Pryce as Prince Philip. Others who would be back are Lesley Manville as Princess Margaret, Jonny Lee Miller as John Major, Dominic West as Charles, Prince of Wales, Elizabeth Debicki as Diana, Princess of Wales, Marcia Warren as Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, and Olivia Williams as Camilla Parker Bowles, with a few more.
