MBN‘s upcoming weekend mini-series, The Crown Prince Has Disappeared, or Missing Crown Prince, is already buzzing among the viewers. The drama features EXO’s Suho and Hong Ye-Ji in the lead. While Kim Ji-Soo and Park Cheol are writing the series, Kim Jin-Man is directing it. The drama is a spin-off of the original series, Bossam: Steal the Fate.

Set in the Joseon era, the historical rom-com drama revolves around a crown prince, Lee Geon (Suho), who gets abducted by a woman who is already set to be his wife. How love blooms between them amid all the bloodshed and politics is all about the drama.

In the drama, Suho plays the crown prince’s character, Lee Geon, who is quite charming and attractive in his presence. On the other hand, Hong Ye-Jin portrays Choi Myeong-Yoon as the beautiful daughter of the physician. She exudes strength, personality, and more.

In a scene when Geon meets Myeong-Yoon, he gives a faint look with a regretful expression towards her. While she responds with a smile, sparking a romantic beginning between them.

However, soon enough, the spark dies down as Geon leaves, and in a turn of events, Myeong-Yoon starts following him. She starts to observe Lee Geon’s behavioral patterns like a spy. This piques the audience’s curiosity to know what is happening in the drama The Crown Prince Has Disappeared and why Myeong-Yoon is tailing Lee Geon wearing a simple outfit.

Suho and Hong Ye-Jin exude quite an attractive chemistry on-screen while portraying their respective characters. Talking about the scene, the production company, Studio Jidam, shared, as quoted by Newsen, “This will be a scene where the excitement and cute chemistry between Su-ho and Hong Ye-ji, who are attempting their first historical drama since debut, will really explode.” They added, “‘The Crown Prince Disappeared’ is waiting for a twist that will make you unable to take your eyes off it for even a moment. Please look forward to it.”

The Crown Prince Has Disappeared will premiere on April 13, 2024, at 9:40 p.m. on MBN.
