Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may have some competition! When it comes to royal intrigue, Olivia Colman, Helena Bonham Carter, and more are stealing our attention with The Crown‘s full Season 3 trailer, released today. The long-awaited season comes out on Netflix on November 17, and we seriously can’t wait to see Oscar-winning Colman as Queen Elizabeth II.

Season 3 of The Crown will show a rough time in Queen Elizabeth’s tenure, and the trailer shows Colman grappling with that tension beautifully. At the celebration of her 25th year on the throne, Colman’s Queen says this: “On days like today, ask yourself, in the time I’ve been on the throne, what have I actually achieved?” The country seems to be turning against the royal family in the late ’60s and early ’70s, as Harold Wilson (Jason Watkins) becomes Prime Minister and the miners prepare to strike. And it hasn’t escaped the Queen’s notice.

“This country was still great when I came to the throne,” Colman laments to Helena Bonham Carter’s Princess Margaret — the Queen’s younger sister and only sibling. “All that’s happened on my watch is the place has fallen apart.” But Margaret is in no mood for self-pity: “It’s only fallen apart if we say it has,” she insists. “That’s the thing about the monarchy. We paper over the cracks.”

The trailer hints at so many more scandalous moments: Does Margaret think she should have been Queen instead of Elizabeth? Why is Prince Charles feuding with his family? And will we get to see his whole affair with Camilla Parker-Bowles play out? Season 3 promises messier family drama than ever, and now that they’re creeping toward present-day royal family, we can’t help but wonder: Do the royals themselves ever tune in? If so, we’d love to hear what the Queen thinks of Colman’s performance.
