Prince Harry and The Crown actor were both part of a race through Antarctica in 2013 through the charity Walking with the Wounded, which supports former British Armed Forces service members in their transitions to civilian life. However, West revealed in an interview with Times Radio that they are not in contact anymore, and it has nothing to do with him playing the future King Charles on the Netflix drama.
Host Kate McCann asked West if he talked with Prince Harry about playing his father given their shared expedition.
"Well, that was over 10 years ago, I think that was," West said.
"You still have his number though, surely?" the host pressed.
"No, we sort of, um...no. I said too much in a press conference, and so we didn't speak after that," West explained. "I think I was asked what we did, what we did to celebrate when we got there and probably said something too much."

Back in 2014, West revealed that Prince Harry had a talent for building toilets during the trek.
“They had a flag pole and a loo roll holder that were surrounded by blocks of snow,” The Wire star said. “He must have taken 45 minutes to create each one."
Explaining how Harry worked, West said the prince would dig a hole at the chosen spot along with a “platform to squat on. He built these incredibly intricate ones. He did art A level [in high school] – you can tell he has the artistic touch.”
The actor added, “I’d be sitting there, looking at a beautiful view thinking, ‘This is the royal flush!’ ”
West also revealed that Harry told “eye-wateringly rude jokes. For the non-soldier like me, it was quite shocking."
Ahead of the trip to Antarctica, West met Queen Elizabeth at a Buckingham Palace reception with Prince Harry also in attendance.

The trek took place years before West took on the role of Prince Charles on The Crown. Exclusively speaking to PEOPLE recently, he shared how his role in the Netflix hit changed his perception of the royal family.
“I suppose one’s perception is so dictated by what you read in the media and what you see in their public persona that working on trying to find out what’s going on privately and what’s going on their minds and what’s going on in their private conversations,” West said. “Peter [Morgan] imagines them so brilliantly and base grounds them very firmly in whatever facts we have, that I suppose I came to emphasize much more, certainly, with Charles and feel a sympathy for him.”
