‘Cross’ Teaser Trailer: Aldis Hodge Stars As Alex Cross In First Look As Prime Video Confirms A Season 2 Is Already In Production
Prime Video has dropped the first teaser trailer for Cross, the upcoming Alex Cross series starring Aldis Hodge and the streamer officially confirmed that a sophomore season is already in production. Season 1 premieres later this year.
The Paramount Television Studios and Skydance Television is described as “a complex, twisted, pulse-pounding thriller created by Ben Watkins, based upon the characters from James Patterson’s best-selling Alex Cross book series.” Here’s the logline: Alex Cross is a detective and forensic psychologist, uniquely capable of digging into the psyches of killers and their victims, in order to identify—and ultimately capture—the murderers.
Season 1 also stars Isaiah Mustafa, Juanita Jennings, Alona Tal, Samantha Walkes, Caleb Elijah, Melody Hurd, Jennifer Wigmore, Eloise Mumford, and Ryan Eggold.
Joining Hodge in Season 2 will be Wes Chatham, Matthew Lillard and Jeanine Mason, with Johnny Ray Gill being upped to series regular.

Ben Watkins is the Season 1 showrunner and executive produces. Jim Dunn, Sam Ernst and Craig Siebels also serve as executive producers with James Patterson, Bill Robinson, Patrick Santa executive producing on behalf of James Patterson Entertainment and David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Matt Thunell executive producing on behalf of Skydance Television.
For Season 2, Dunn and Ernst are co-showrunners with Watkins, with J. David Shanks, Aiyana White and Aldis Hodge added as executive producers.
