Paul Hogan's health may no longer be in top shape, but he is still kicking at 84!

The Australian actor returned to the spotlight after a recent health scare that worried fans when he claimed he was being "held together with string." Fortunately, the Hollywood veteran appears on the mend in his latest sighting, looking much better than his previous frail appearance.

Paul Hogan Steps Out To Support A Friend After 'Retroperitoneal Fibrosis' Battle

The "Crocodile Dundee" star was recently photographed at an event in Australia hosted by his pal, former Hawke government minister John Joseph Brown. The TV personality turned up to support the launching of the retired politician's autobiography: "Brownie: The Minister for Good Times."

The duo were spotted seated next to each other, with Hogan seemingly in good spirits as the pair conversed. The image, shared on X by reporter Kenny Heatley, captured the friends rocking similar black-and-white ensembles while lost in their world. The Sky News Australia anchor captioned the heartwarming picture:

"Legendary Australian actor Paul Hogan in Sydney seated here with former 1980's Bob Hawke Minister John 'JJ' Brown for John's launch of his autobiography. The pair are responsible for the greatest tourism campaign in Australian history."

As stated, the "Lightning Jack" actor's sighting came weeks after he addressed his poor health in a candid interview. A clip of the 84-year-old's appearance on the TV show "A Current Affair" was shared on the program's X page in November.

In his conversation, the 84-year-old opened up about dealing with "retroperitoneal fibrosis" and how the health struggle left him feeling terrible. "I'm not in the place I'm meant to be, but I'm not allowed to complain about anything," the entertainer lamented, adding:

"[I’ve] been better. I had a problem on that aorta in the kidney, and the treatment fixed it, but it shrunk me. I've lost all my body fat."

The Australian of the Year honoree explained that his condition, called retroperitoneal fibrosis, was a benign growth. In his case, the growth surrounded his abdominal aorta, causing it to press on his kidney. Fortunately, he successfully treated the disease, but the side effects were more than Hogan bargained for.

"The cure was worse than the disease," the Parramatta native confessed, "The muscles all shrank. ... It left me feeble." The Australian icon, who has a pacemaker, described himself as being "held together with string" and needing his 24-year-old son to open jars for him.

Additionally, the father of six, who has been spent a significant portion of his life in the U.S., noted he hoped to return permanently to Australia. Reflecting on his life and iconic career, the "Almost an Angel" executive producer said:

"I've had such a gifted life. I've had so many wonderful things happen to me without deserving them, so I shouldn't complain, but, yeah, ideally, I'd rather be back in Sydney because I miss the rest of my family there."

Years before his health scare, the "Charlie & Boots" actor owned up to his part in his failed marriages. The TV personality reflected on his broken unions before his 80th birthday in 2019, telling viewers of the "Australian Story" that he was not the best spouse.

In part one of the two-part series, Hogan recalled meeting his first wife, Nolene Edwards. The Australian icon walked down the aisle for the first time at 19 and welcomed three sons with his then-partner before the age of 22.

"I sort of dug it, I loved it. And we grew up together, me and my kids," the Logie Award winner admitted. However, his blossoming family crashed in 1981 after he and Edwards had welcomed five children together.

Surprisingly, the couple reconciled less than a year later and said their second vows. But their love did not survive the test of time, with the pair calling it quits in 1990. This time, their divorce was caused by Hogan's love for his "Crocodile Dundee" co-star Linda Kozlowski.

The betrayal did not sit well with Edwards, who did not speak to her ex-husband for 16 years following their separation. The Golden Globe Award winner eventually moved on with Kolwozski, marrying her in 1990, and the duo welcomed a son.

Hogan and Kolwozski ended their romance in 2014. Reflecting on his failed romances, the veteran actor confessed that he was not the best partner, saying, "I'm not a great husband. I'm good early."
